We humans have made tremendous progress in the three decades. We have invented so many forms of communication. What we have done is brought mankind closer together than ever before. We are on the scope of a one world nation. We can consider ourselves global citizens. We are all living in this world, and now different countries are more accessible. Before we go their let’s start here where you and I live. Let’s forge bonds of acceptance and tolerance together one another where we live.

As global citizens, we should embrace other peoples cultures and religions. Tolerance toward people’s beliefs and traditions is an important part of being a global citizen. Not being judgmental toward people’s lifestyle, even if it may conflict with your own personal belief system. What works for you may not work for someone else. That’s okay. Please refrain from forcing what you believe in our guests from another land. People come to this land, and you may one day have to go another land. It is important to remember you and everybody that comes and goes are representations of where they are from. Show off your land in the best light is important to forge good relations with our country and neighboring lands. Respecting other peoples lives is a standard that we all as global citizens should live by.

Taking time to study other people culture is necessary to help build relations with other land. It’s can be a great experience. Taking time to research and learn what other places customs are. You can pick a land of interest and go on google and find out how they live. This can be pleasurable homework by studying food, festivals, and important dates. After the research, you’re ready to hit the field and immerse yourself in the local areas where the people you researched live. Throughout the world, there are places where people from different lands reside. It is on you to go and where your culture of interest live. See first hand who they live. You can say you’re a local tourist. This is a good way to encourage good relations with you and the country you represent.

You are a representative of where you are from. Mind your manners and don’t embarrass you and your country. You have to not look as yourself as a small, insignificant individual. Your action can have a lasting effect on a group of people. If you insult a visitor from a different land, you may paint a negative image that may be spread throughout a neighboring location. We most work to build dialog and share the joys of life with one another.

Being a global citizen is a great responsibility, but it comes with perks. Eating another lands finest cuisine or enjoying magnificent architecture. It is a great feeling being accepted by different cultures and people. Enjoy this great world. We all live on this earth together.
