So you want to make money, that’s good but you’re gonna need money. You can’t make money without spending money. Even panhandlers have to have their morning wake up before they start begging. You have to have some sort of start-up capital to make money. Some people have parents that will give them a little petty cash. The most successful cases have to find other ways to find their start without mommy and daddy. Even if you plan to work a job there is an upfront cost. You might need work clothes, carfare, and lunch money. The most unfortunate case is to make money without any help. My wife’s family wouldn’t even give her carfare for a job interview, and they are millionaires. She is a perfect example of making something out of nothing.

When I was a tattoo artist time to time I would make art books for sale. It was a simple way to make a big return with little overhead. Those art books would cost about five cents to make and would sell for a dollar, that was 95% profit on each book. I made these art books with simple materials, paper, ink, and a stapler. Crafting those books was fairly simple. After the books were made the real work was selling them. I would walk throughout the city streets asking people if they would like to purchase my books for $1. Surprisingly I got a lot of sales, it was too much work walking around making sales, ( I’m pretty lazy). The thing is the upfront cost for the supplies to make those art books was about $40 bucks. The paper and ink were the money I had to spend to make money to enjoy. I had to spend to make it, that is just how it is. You have to be willing to pay that upfront cost to make a profit.

A lot of times that upfront cost scares so many people out of any kind of business. Some people have an idea that business work solely to make a profit and that there is no overhead cost. Cost of operation is a big part of and business. Paying for lights, rent and payroll can severely cut into the start-up of any product, good, or service. Nothing comes without a cost, Hell, freedom isn’t even free. It takes money to make money, that is just how it is.

A lot of people use crowdfunding to gain their seed money for their businesses. Crowdfunding is actually a good way to start up any type of business you can dream of. It’s a little awkward at first asking strangers for money to start a business. You will be surprised to find out that there are some people that will donate to help you start something. I like the Field of Dreams motto, “Build it and they will come.” Well, start it and they will support it. You could just ask Mommy and or Daddy for some quick start-up cash. Most people are fortunate to have their parents in their lives. For me and mines, we weren’t so lucky. For those who don’t have anyone to turn to, turn to everyone and seek donations.
