Incorporating Squats Into My Exercise

I never used to do squats. I would literally do every other exercise but squats. I thought squats looked funny.

I always had a bias towards doing squats because of some of the myths I heard about squats. I thought squats weren’t masculine and they gave you a big butt. I didn’t want to do them because well, they looked funny.

One day while working out with an acquaintance he convinced me to give doing squats a try. Skeptical I engage in two sets of twenty. It was an interesting experience, crouching at the knees the standing back up. I was feeling the burn. You know the serious burn.

I continued to feel that pain for a day or two. My legs were stiff and tend to hurt going up and down stairs. That the feeling gym rats look for. That hurt means the exercise is working.

I explained to my acquaintance that my legs hurt and I wouldn’t do them until the soreness subsided. I was hurting for a while and thought I needed time to heal. They explained with squats you have to work through the aches. That if you keep doing you’ll see results and they won’t hurt as much.

So I continue to do squats and start adding them to my at-home exercise routine. I try to do about twenty squats every exercise session. I already am seeing results.

The daddy belly pouch I had is starting to finally go away. I try everything to target that area of my body. But, no luck until squats. I am finally getting rid of that stubborn belly fat.

Squats as was explained to me also energizes the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra is the Chakra in control of you reproductive and waste functions of your body. Squats really unleash the full power of your Root Chakra.

I have been doing squats long. I knew about them but never decided to do them. Now that I started to doing squats I don’t think I’ll ever stop.

Bro, it’s leg day.
