Joe puts his key in the door to his apartment. He just got laid off from his job. When he got inside his heart was heavy. He thought all of the worst thoughts. How would he pay the bills? what would his dear Mary say about his recent job loss?

He sat down on the couch and cried just a little. His world maybe falling apart. He picked up his cellphones and called his wife. “honey, I lost my job” he said over the phone. All Mary could say was that they would talk when she got home and that everything will be alright.

When Mary got home they sat at the dinning room table. They sat in silence for a few minutes before they decided to talk. Their number one concern was how they where going to pay the bills. She worked part time but didn’t make enough to cover rent. He was the bread winner and with no job they maybe in the poor house.

Joe always had a passion for baking. Ever since he was young he would bake. Pies, cakes, tarts all kind of thing he would enjoy baking. Because of his dad he never baked professionally. His dad never liked him baking and said it was women’s work.

He explain to his wife his desire to bake professionally, under the table, off the books. Unsure of his idea to be a baker man she had her skepticism’s. She agree to let him bake as a source of income while he looked for a new job. His heart fluttered but she had one condition, that she helped.

The started there baker journey together. They both put on aprons and got to work. Calling friends and family asking them to tell a friend to tell friend that Joe and Mary started a baking business and to support. Thing started out pretty slow but they never gave up.

They decide to offer batches of cookies for wholesale at local stores. They put up flyers and slowly started seeing a profit. One day they decided to have their bake goods on a table for display. People walked by not even noticing them and their baked goods. Till one person stop and said ” this cake looks delicious! I am have a birthday party soon, do you cater?”

This was the start of Joe n Mary bakeries. They were able to turn a loss of income into a capital gain. They open their bakery and live happily ever after. Following our dreams isn’t wrong, you just have to believe in yourself, also it doesn’t hurt to have a little help.
