New York’s subway system is one of the greatest in the world. You can get from one part of the city to another in under an hour. The system, just as the city itself is also known for its vibrant nightlife and performances.

But did you know it was cursed? There was a curse placed on the subway system that was so powerful that it opened a gateway to hell. If you ride the train at 12:01 am and find yourself at a certain stop, you will pass through hell’s many gates.

Since the early 80s the gates to hell have been open within the NYC subway system. It was a nefarious plot which was a plan long in the making. Someone wanted the New York City subway system to be a portal to the lake of fire.

If you dare to board the A train at 12:01 am during the winter equinox at Astor Place, know that your train ride will take you straight to hell.

Mortals, please be advised that it is here, at this train station, where the unholy gates of Hell are located. It only takes place at the Astor Place stop, on the A line, at 12:01 am.

None other than the great magician, Alistair Crowley, chose his name from this well-known subway stop, Astor Place. Astor Place is known in New York City for its it’s worship and celebration of the dark arts.

Astor Place is riddled with prostitution, drugs, and unbelievably great food. It is here that worshipers of all things unholy and dark installed a weird landmark; the great cube.

The Great Cube, as it was fondly known would exist as a gathering point for evil.

To many, the Great Cube resembled the same cube seen in movies like Poltergeist and Hellraiser. Passerby would swear that the peculiar artwork would spin on it own from time to time.

For some people, this strange monument was a most cursed structure in New York City. Only there, before the Great Cube, wild orgies would take place to feed the sinister monument sexual energy.

However, the Great Cube wasn’t the energy that fed the gates of hell. Precious quartz crystal was secretly hidden deep under the Astor Place station.

Despite being precious and hidden, these crystals were never mined. There were rumors that during the construction of the Astor Place station, there was a great plan to open the gates to hell at this point.

Many stories of people riding the A train past the Astor Place stop and going baserk were commonplace. After leaving the train station at Astor Place, passengers were seen frantically stripping off their clothes and praying to God.

There have been accounts of people saying they saw demons suddenly appear on the A train when riding by Astor Place. Many straphangers felt overcome with terror once they boarded the train at Astor Place but didn’t know why.

If you ride the train at 12:01 am and plan to board at Astor Place, be careful. The next stop at which you arrive just might be Hell St.

Hell is real. And if you want to go, take the A train. You might be surprised at what you experience, if you manage to survive the ride.
