When the holiday season is here, food will be consumed and celebrated in abundance. Eating good isn’t hard to do. Thankfully, most people want to be a feeder around this time of year.

It’s easy to put on a couple of extra pounds with all of the festivities going around. If you’re like me, you like eating tasty comfort food.
So, with an abundance of delicious food during the holiday season, you’re going to want to eat. A lot.
Sometimes when I eat, I tend to be a bit more lazy than usual. I just want to lay around. Hell, sometimes I eat so much I can’t move. I feel like my belly is about to burst.

One thing though, after my food has had time to digest, I force myself to exercise. I might focus on executing simple body movements. It’s something to get the blood flowing.
It’s a bad practice just to lay around and do nothing toward your health everyday. You could go out for a walk or do some simple stretches. You should try to do something small or big everyday to stay healthy.

The holiday is a dangerous time for people trying to lose weight. Last holiday season I gained 10 pounds. This holiday season I am determined to stay on top of my physical health.
I have a morning exercise routine that works for me. Almost each and every morning I walk to a park to exercise.
I have found when exercising, it counteracts the weight gain from enjoying autumn’s many yummy delicacies.

Doing pushups and squats help me build muscle mass. Plus, I can still get to eat those wonderful Christmas cookies. Walking helps burn the fat that I would have gained from that fall breakfast sandwich.
It is easy to lose sight of our health goals. But fitness isn’t a destination. It’s a journey.
We have to be concerned about our health during this high sodium, high cholesterol, and high fat intake filled, glorious holiday season.
It’s important to take your health seriously.

You have to live in your body during your time here on earth. And I don’t think you’ll get a new body until you get to heaven.
So, before you go to the great beyond upon your passing, why not work on your health in the here and now.
