It’s always an adventure trying to eat good in the hood.

If you’re lucky, chances are you live in a neighborhood with plenty of local delis, small grocery stores, a supermarket, and street vendors within a couple of blocks away from your spot.

Now. Let’s be honest.

Plenty of people get a bad rap for the food combinations that they create in the name of saving money, not having much money, or sheer convenience.

And let’s not forget how many people don’t learn how to cook, burn water in the pot, or don’t have enough time or energy to chef it up, let alone find healthy ingredients to keep them going day-to-day.

More people need to be honest about how difficult it is to come up with creative, delicious food on a budget, when you don’t have much bread to work with, inflation is taking a bite out of your pockets, and also, who doesn’t occasionally suffer from a bout of stress eating?

So, for anyone who was looking for a reason to celebrate a food marriage between two fine foods from Massachusetts and New York, here you go….

It’s 2025. And you have to try mixing a cup of plain Chobani brand Greek yogurt with an equal amount of Marshmallow Fluff.

Foodie purists gtfo already. And health nuts can get a nice shutdown.

Seriously.

Go try this and don’t let anyone tell you this isn’t healthy or wrong af.

Official Recipe

  • 1 standard size individual cup of Chobani Greek Yogurt (plain)
  • 1 equal portion of Marshmallow Fluff (the same amount of yogurt)
  • ½ cup of raisins (substitute with another dried fruit if you wish)
  • ¼ cup of honey generously squeezed over all of the following ingredients
  • A pinch of cinnamon just to dust everything off
  • A bowl or mug to put all off the above ingredients inside
  • A spoon

Blend all of the following ingredients together, the yogurt, the fluff, and the raisins.

Or you can sprinkle those raisins or (dried fruit substitute, like apricots, dates, et.) if you wish. It’s your party.

Last, you’ll want to drizzle the honey over the combined fluff and yogurt mixture and dust with cinnamon. Then it’s time to eat.

If they make fun of you when you make this -ish. Tell them to make their own bowl. The -ish is so damn fluffy, creamy, sweet, and delicious, and cooling, you won’t want to share.

I’m sorry, but if anyone’s getting on your back about diabetes in “the community” or the absence of using natural sugar, or a need to eat “healthy desserts.”

They just don’t know any better and would probably be squirreled away squatting somewhere out of sight, yamming down this magical combination of Chobani Greek Yogurt, Marshmallow Fluff, and honey drizzle down like no one’s business.

Then dab their mouth with a napkin and act like nothing happened.

Then, they might have the nerve to side eye and judge you if they see you make this same naturally sweet, super thick and creamy, comfort food for 2025. Really?

Maybe someone forgot about the difficulty of getting over Covid? Maybe someone can afford Uber Eats all the damn time, but if you live here, that’s certainly not most people who are a member of the card carrying ghetto Visa club.

Sorry, not sorry.

So, if you haven’t started committing to any of those New Year’s resolutions for 2025 to change your life, try new things, learn some cooking skills, or find new things to eat to satiate your sweet tooth and make people think you’re more interesting… here you go.

You’re welcome.
