What is success? Is it having a million dollar house on the shore or just being happy with what you have. Everyone has their own definition of what success is. Some people are longing to be successful not know what being successful is.

Success is a journey not a destination. Yes, you can have one major success but with that one major success can you consider yourself successful? I guess you could, you can have your own discerning level of successes. But are you successful or did you just have a great win.
I would say to be successful you have to have continuous win after win. Not just one major triumph but a collection of triumphant moments. Accumulating win after win, day by day, week by week, month by month. To me it’s not one major event that makes someone successful but continuously winning that will earn you the title of being successful.

There are habit that successful people have. from waking up before the sun rises and going to sleep during prime time hours. Truly successful people have good habit and great routines that encourages awesome wins. These routines and habit help separate the successful from the unsuccessful.
I was an artist, I used to make art. I had my successes with art but I can’t say that I was an successful artist. I was quite unsuccessful and was more of a big headed hobbyist then an earning artist. I got the likes, I made some money, I got the girl, these were all great wins but I never made a living truly off my art.

It was fun work that I could use to impress people. I worked as an artist to get high, get women and make friends. I never made art to pay the rent, buy food, or live in luxury. I made art to have a good time an finesse people into thinking that I was about something.
It’s different with me and writing, I may not be making enough money as a writer to pay the rent, but I am not using the fact that I am a writer to bag hoe’s, get high, or make friend. But, every blog post is a small win, every early morning and time spent promoting my blog is a small win. Everyday working as diligently as a writer leads me to being closer to my definition of being a successful writer.

I wake up every morning and going to bed every night working on growing my company that is fueled by my writing. I take every opportunity to grow my business and to make something of myself. I have had successes but I am yet to say that I am a successful writer, businessman, CEO, yet! But one day, one day I will be.

Like I said success is a journey not a destination I am still walk down that road. Everyday I am getting closer and closer to what I define as being successful. What being has that same number of characters as we have fingers and toes? Being Successful, Go get em tiger!
