I was once riding the subway in New York. A woman was standing waiting for her stop, and she noticed a man holding a cellphone with the camera in her direction. She got really upset and accused the man of taking a picture of her. They both were very upset. This is the reason people should learn cellphone etiquette .
Never hold the camera in someone direction. It is very rude and can make anybody uncomfortable. Instead hold your phone at an angle. Try your best to maneuver your phone and it’s camera away for an individual. Take extreme caution not to point your phone’s camera at someone’s face.
The microphone is always on don’t make it easy for someone else to hear your conversation. If you’re talking with a friend or family member put your phone away or keep it your pocket. No know’s who’s listening to our phones. The applications you install on your phone have access to your microphone. So please out of respect for your friend and family, when you engage in a conversation put your phone away.
When you are at an appointment and the sign says no cellphones, don’t proceed to go on your phone. Worst don’t have a phone conversation. No one wants to hear your game playing or your favorite rap song. Please spare the other people in bus, waiting room or movie theater. We’re at certain locations for different reasons. Please don’t make it uncomfortable for everybody else.
Please think of other people’ feelings when you use your cellphone. It doesn’t hurt to show respect for others. Showing disrespect can hurt, be plan rude and playing with your cellphone can cause an incident that may be deadly. Be safe and mind your phone.
