I am considered a fortune baby in the community of Nichiren Buddhism. Born in the Buddhist faith. I grew up learning about Buddhism and, to this day, consider myself to be a Buddhist. I am still in formed on festivals, parties gathering, and groups. I go to temple and Buddhist centers. My Buddhist faith has helped change my life for the better. I always look at statistics, and I know i was spared by my Buddhist faith.
When I was 21, I had my own apartment in Brooklyn. Most of my peers were living with parents i was on my own. I give credit to me getting my apartment to my Buddhist practice. Before me getting my apartment, i was in the group home, and I preyed night and day for an apartment and I got it!
Now i am older. I believe it was the teachings of the Buddha to help and will continue to guide me. My life would have been so different if I had never studied the Buddhas teaching. The word of the teaches a way of life and gives the practitioner a path to way on their way to enlightenment.
A man once told me he was begging for change on the subways system in New York City. An old women sitting quietly gave him a hundred dollar bill and said Buddha loves you. The Buddha is know for his acts of infinite kindness and compassion. May Buddha bless you.
