When my roommate first moved in I thought he was a complete hardass. He wouldn’t talk much, and sit around and TV. He was a little surly and judgmental. The guy is like 70 years ago and you probably don’t know that old age and treachery go hand and hand. He doesn’t have much family and has mental health issues. I try to be compassionate so I tried to be kind to the old geezer. I would offer him food and some pot. He kind of stayed standoffish. Then he went to the hospital and I was concerned.

When he came back I greeted him with a smile and some pot. We started talking about his stay in the hospital. He told me he was feeling suicidal. He was depressed over the current life conditions. I felt for him and wanted to do something to help him feel better. But, what could I do? We don’t have much in common and I am not a therapist.

One morning I walked past his room on my way to kitchen. I heard him playing Doja Cat’s song “paint the town red” and I was surprised. Later that day I invited him to smoke with me. I asked him if he was a fan of Doja Cat and to my reassurance he was a new fan of Doja Cat. When he was in the hospital he heard the “paint the town red” song and fell in love with Doja Cat. I was overjoyed to have something in common with my roommate.

He said he loved the that she uses Dionne Warwick in the sample for Doja Cat’s paint the town red song. Now I’m a big fan of Doja Cat and had her “Scarlet” album downloaded on my phone. We sat for her whole album and I felt like we bonded. Doja Cat is an awesome artist that makes great music. Me and my roommate both enjoy her music. From time to time we would sit around smoke our blunts and listen to Doja Cat’s “Scarlet” album.

I have found a snese of common ground with a lot of people listening to Doja Cat. Their are a lot of people of all walks of life that enjoy Doja Cat. She has character and flare. Doja Cat brings people together and is loved by many. It’s always good to give Doja Cat catalog a visit and jam out to her vibe. Thanks Doja for making awesome music and much success!
