There are some stores I frequent more than others and some stores I want to go to just to say hi. Some of the places I go I get treated so well that I feel like family. They don’t just treat me well they treat everybody well. They treat everybody nice from the regular customers to the guests to the neighborhood like they are valued shoppers. They can be seen giving the homeless food and drinks or having them helping out around the store for a few dollars. They keep quality items on their shelves and cook with a sense of passion. They keep me coming back so I can leave with a smile on my face.

These stores whether it’s a clothing store or a local bodega, know how to treat their customers. They value their customer’s business and enjoy seeing them. They love to have their store filled with so many happy shoppers. They do what it takes to make each and every customer feel loved and cherished. These stores will go out of their way to satisfy everyone who walks through the threshold of the stores. They seem to understand that customers matter. They know we aren’t just there for their award winning smiles but to spend money. Money that we worked hard to earn and don’t want to give it to just anybody. People want to spend their money with people they like and who are good genuine people. People who treat them nice. The store I go to do just that. They keep me coming back to shop and shop some more.

I love to shop and I love shopping where I feel a love for doing business. The thing that separates these stores from the rest is customer service. These stores know how to service their shoppers. They treat everybody like they are royalty. There have been some stores that I had absolutely dreaded going to. If it was for the fact they were essential I wouldn’t go. The employees were assholes and they didn’t treat everybody like they were cool. If I could avoid their stores I did at all cost. One day they raised the price of something I would regularly purchase and they had the nerve to say “What are you going to do about it?” That store no longer became essential to me. I would eventually walk farther to spend the same amount but get treated a lot better.

Customer service matters, It makes those valued shoppers coming back to shop another day. Those interactions that you have with those clerks at those stores you shop at should be pleasant and uplifting. This is a consumer’s nation, we make the world go round. Cash rules everything around me when I shop and I love shopping with people who love doing business. If you’re a shop owner who doesn’t love money that you need to reevaluate why you opened up a store in the first place. Enjoy making your money and keep those shoppers coming back for more.
