I once was friends with this older gentleman. I was worried about something that now I can’t exactly remember.
But, his advice was something that stuck with me.

He told me when something happens or your waiting for something to happen; give it three days time.
A lot can be determined in three days. Waiting 72 hours can give you the answers you’ve been wondering about.

When we are waiting for thing to happen in our lives a lot goes unseen. When you submit paperwork you don’t get a chance to watch as it is processed.

You just have to wait and have some sort of faith that it’s being reviewed.
Giving an outcome three days gives you an idea of a time span of how long you should wait for a follow-up. You really don’t want to pester someone about an application when it is in review. After three days you can feel a little more comfortable reaching out to see the status of your paperwork.

The first day is the day after the submission of documents. The day you submit and documents doesn’t count as one of the first three days. The first of the three day gives your paperwork sitting time.
The second day give whatever document or outcome your looking for time to be reviewed. You don’t want to bother an interviewer while their in the middle of looking over your application.

The third you can give whoever you need to speak to a follow up call. You gave your paperwork a chance to sit and be reviewed.
Now it’s socially acceptable to give a follow-up call, just to check on the status of whatever document you submitted.

Giving a reviewer three day to fully and comfortably look over your paperwork and give you an answer or decision that might have been made. Waiting to follow up reduces unwanted pressure that you cause a interviewer. Giving you a better chance to get that response you’ve been hoping for.
I think the reason I ask him for some advice was a job, but I could be wrong. His words have helped me till this day.

Thanx Mr. Coit, you were one cool az group home staff. You taught me and the rest of the guys a lot.
